Iberian Wolf in N/W Spain

We are visiting one of the remotest areas of Spain, the 'Sierra de Culebra'. Our primary objective will be to locate one of Europe's rarest mammals - Iberian Wolf, and this reserve holds a major percentage of Spain's total population of 2500 - 3000 individuals.  However while we are there we should be also be looking to find Wild Boar, Fox, Red & Roe Deer The rest of the time will be spent visiting the surrounding areas, especially Villafafila and it's adjacent low-intensive agricultural lands that has Spain's largest concentration of Great Bustard. The Rio Duero forms the border between Spain & Portugal as it carves a winding course through steep sided valleys, home to many breeding raptor species.
In summary this tour will provide ample time in which to enjoy the rich wildlife of the area, but it is our quest for the Iberian Wolf that will be our ultimate goal. Our accommodation is in the heart of the sierra and perfectly positioned for easy access to the best wolf watching areas, and not only is it a fantastic place to stay but the owner has worked very closely with the local rangers and has up-to-the-minute information on the wolves and their where-abouts.

Namibia Rhino Safari

For more than 20 years, the Save the Rhino Trust (SRT) has worked ceaselessly to protect the last free-ranging rhino population on Earth: the rare desert-adapted black rhino. In the remote, rugged Palmwag Concession, teams of local trackers use camel trains to help in researching and monitoring this animal. On this original and exciting Exploration, guests join these "ships of the desert" on a great adventure: an eight-day walk (little time is spent actually on the camels) across the oldest desert in the world, where a camel train and a team of Save the Rhino trackers take you deep into the heart of the Namib Desert in search of this rare and endangered species.

Kapani Green Season Safari

This safari operates between  December and March and mid October - mid November.
The green season months are some of the most exciting and interesting with spectacular wildlife and the most exciting for birding in Zambia. All of the migrants are present and many local birds are in full breeding plumage and singing. Over 400 species of birds have been recorded in South Luangwa National Park. The early season is a peak for births and when Wild dogs are most likely to appear.

Emerald Season River Journeys

The Emerald Season is so called due to the extraordinary colour of the bush once the rain starts to fall. This is without doubt a very special time to be on safari. Mamals and birds are abundant and it is the peak visiting time for migrant species and when many large mammals give birth. With fewer human visitors in the bush you also feel like you have the place to your self.

We have several great ideas for this time, combining some of Zambias best known lodges with thier remote bush camps. And it is even possible to extend your Green season safari to include the Lower Zambezi.
