This tour gives you the chance of seeing three of the Subcontinent’s magnificent big cats on one memorable journey. This tour begins in the Gir National Park in Gujarat, the last home of the Asiatic lion, before moving to Bandhavgarh to search for the Royal Bengal Tiger. Finally, journey south to look for leopard in Pench.  In addition to the big cats, the parks are a haven for birds and many other species of wildlife. Though wildlife viewing can never be guaranteed, from our own experiences in these parks we would be very surprised if you did not have sightings of all three of the big cats.

Day 1 • Depart to India 

Depart from the UK on your overnight flight to Ahmedabad. 

Day 2 • Arrive Ahmedabad • To Gir 

Morning arrival in Ahmedabad, and transfer by road to Gir National Park, where you will stay at Gir Lodge for 4 nights stay on a full board basis. 

Day 3 to 5 • Game Drives • Overnight Gir 

For the next 3 days you will take morning and afternoon game drives in the park, returning to the lodge overnight. Gir is home to the last surviving population of Asiatic Lion, and it is here that you will look for the first in the trilogy of big cats.

Day 6 • Game Drive • TO Bhavnagar 

Take a final game drive, before returning to the lodge for breakfast. Drive to Bhavnagar, where you will stay at the Neelam Bagh for 1 night on a bed and breakfast basis.. 

Day 7 • Velavadhar • Ahmedabad • DelhiI 

After breakfast drive to Ahmedabad, enroute visiting the Velavadhar Blackbuck Sanctuary. Connect with evening flight to Delhi and transfer to the Optus Sarovar Hotel for 1 night on a bed and breakfast basis.

Day 8 • To Agra • Taj Mahal 

After breakfast, drive to Agra arriving in time to view the Taj Mahal at sunset. Transfer to the Jaypee Palace for 1 night on a bed and breakfast basis.  

Day 9 • Taj Mahal • Fatehpur Sikri 

Your day begins with a visit to see the Taj Mahal at sunrise, before returning to your hotel for breakfast. Drive to Fatehpur Sikri for sightseeing before returning to Agra in time to catch your evening train to Katni.

 Day 10 • TO Bandhavgarh • Game Drive 

Arriving early in the morning, transfer by road to your resort where you will stay for 6 nights on a full board basis. Breakfast will be waiting for you on arrival. The rest of the morning is spent relaxing and getting your bearings around the grounds. After lunch you take the first of your game drives in Bandhavgarh, staying in the park until sunset.

Day 11 to 15 • Game Drives 

Your day begins in the cool early morning, entering the park before sunrise through one of the park gates. You will take a drive around the park, hoping to see tigers returning from their night hunts. During the drive your guide will find a suitable place to enjoy your packed breakfast. Elephant rides will be available if the mahouts have been successful in finding the tigers. A further game drive will be taken after lunch and you return to your resort at sunset. 

Day 16 • To Pench 

After an early breakfast, transfer by road to the luxury Pench Jungle Camp where you will stay for 4 nights on a full board basis.

Day 17 to 19 • Game Drives 

For the next 3 days you will take morning and afternoon game drives in the park, returning to the camp overnight. Packed breakfast will be taken on the morning drive and elephant rides will be available if the mahouts have been successful in finding tigers. As well as tigers, Pench is home to a thriving leopard population and it is here that you are most likely to see the third of the trilogy of big cats. 

Day 20 • To Mumbai

Early breakfast and transfer to Nagpur airport for your flight to Mumbai, where you will stay at the VITS Hotel for 1 night on a bed and breakfast basis. Afternoon is free for you to relax or explore the city.

Day 21 • Depart India

 Transfer to airport for return flight.
