This exhilarating 10 day adventure will allow you to explore the wilderness hotspots of Botswana, from the flourishing waterways of the renowned Okavango Delta to the prolific wildlife of the pristine Chobe National Park and the contrasting arid landscape of Savute. End your trip on the banks of the immense Zambezi River and admire the magnificent scenes of Victoria Falls. Enjoy the serenity of private campsites and the comfort of spacious safari tents with their crisp linen-adorned beds and ensuite bathrooms, which offer a flush w.c and refreshing bucket shower, as you journey through the African wilderness.
The adventure begins among the clear channels and deep lagoons of the Okavango Delta, where guests explore the winding waterways by mokoro and track wildlife on foot across the Delta’s islands. From here, the Expedition moves to Moremi Game reserve, with its diverse terrain and abundant wildlife. The next stop on this mobile camping journey is Chobe National Park, famed for some of the highest concentrations of game on the continent. Explore the haunting, arid landscape of the Savute corner, renowned for its annual zebra migration and the animals that congregate around its well-used watering holes. Then travel north to Chobe’s Serondela region, known as the heart of elephant country. Admire these great herds in and around the waters of the Chobe River on game drives or private riverboat cruises. The Bostwana Explorer ends with an opportunity to walk in the footsteps of famous adventurer David Livingstone at the edge of the magnificent Victoria Falls, one of the world’s natural wonders. Discover the Zambezi in a different mood further upstream at Matetsi Private Game Reserve, a sanctuary for the spectacular wildlife of this extraordinary region.
The mobile camping portion of the Expedition spends eight nights in spacious dome En-suite Expedition Safari Tents are , each with double bed, en-suite bathroom, separate w.c., and romantic private al fresco bucket shower (hot water delivered upon request).
The remaining night of this adventure is spent on the banks of the Zambezi River at the luxurious and tranquil Matetsi Water Lodge at &Beyond Matetsi Private Game Reserve.
Friendly, hospitable camp staff ensure a warm African welcome as guests arrive at each different destination. A maximum of six guests on each mobile safari ensures that everyone is guaranteed a window seat, with prime views of the country’s exceptional landscapes on each stage of this unforgettable wilderness expedition.
This safari commences at Maun International Airport in Botswana and ends at Victoria Falls International Airport in Zimbabwe
Day 01 & 02: Okavango Delta
Upon arrival at Maun International Airport you will be met by a representative from &Beyond, who will direct you to your light aircraft flight to Nxabega Airstrip, where a safari vehicle will be waiting to take you to the campsite. Explore the crystal-clear channels, islands and waterways by mekoro (dug-out canoe), and enjoy game-viewing walks on the islands. Spend two nights at our &Beyond campsite in a private concession area, bordering the Moremi Wildlife Reserve, with a complement of camp staff to cater for your needs.
Day 03 & 04: Moremi Wildlife Reserve
A short flight in a light aircraft will take you to Khwai in the North Gate region of Moremi Wildlife Reserve. The first protected area in Africa to be established by local people, the Reserve is rated as Africa’s most beautiful wildlife sanctuary. Spend two nights camping in the Reserve, with extensive and interpretive game-drives taking up your days.
Day 05 & 06: Chobe National Park – Savute
A long game drive (5 – 6 hours) takes you to Savute, renowned for lion and other predator viewing, where you will spend two nights camping next to the dry Savute Channel. Huge animal concentrations are attracted to this area and its artificial watering holes in the dry season.
Day 07 & 08: Chobe National Park – Serondela
From Savute, move up to northern Chobe (4 – 5 hours overland game drive), where you will camp for two nights in the Serondela area. This is the heart of elephant country and you may spend many hours watching the huge herds in and around the waters of the Chobe River on game drives or private boat cruises. Northern Chobe is renowned for its large variety of bird and animal life, beautiful scenery and magnificent sunsets.
Day 09: Victoria Falls
It is a short drive from Chobe National Park to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, where you can enjoy &Beyond Matetsi Water Lodge, after a tour of the Falls (entrance fee to the Falls is included in the safari fare). Watch the mighty Zambezi River rolling by as you spend the night in a spacious suite on the shady river bank. Go in search of the abundant wildlife on an afternoon and morning game drives.
Day 10: Departure
After a scrumptious breakfast at Matetsi Water Lodge, you will be taken to Victoria Falls International Airport by road to conect with your onward flights.

Serviced camping safari, suitable for reasonably fit people. Involves some walking and rugged conditions.
This safari travels with a maximum of 6 guests in 3 tents, in a specially customised 4x4 safari vehicle, and accompanied by an expert &Beyond safari guide throughout.
All meals – from dinner on day one to breakfast on day ten – are included.
A reasonable amount of bottled water, local wine, beer and soft drinks are included on camping days and at &Beyond Matetsi Water Lodge.
Airport transfers at Victoria Falls are also included.
The upper age limit for this safari is 70 years, however, guests between the age of 70 and 75years may be accepted provided that they produce a medical certificate stating that they are fit to travel.Minimum age limit is 12 years
