This safari blends three of southern Africa’s most fruitful game areas - Hwange National Park and Mana Pools National Park in Zimbabwe, with the vast Kafue National Park in the west of Zambia. Located within the largest game reserve in Zimbabwe, Hwange National Park is ecologically diverse resulting in large numbers of animals all year round, including a multitude of elephant. Mana Pools National Park is in the heart of the Zambezi Valley and with the variety of habitat ranging from woodland to floodplain to the mountains of the Rift Valley escarpment, abundant wildlife and bird sightings are consistently enjoyed. The seasonally-inundated grasslands with tree-islands on the Busanga Plains offer concentrations of plains game as well as rarer antelope (including roan and oribi) and a high density of lion. Last but not least, a visit to the mighty Victoria Falls - one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World – is a fitting end.

This is an exceptional 6 day safari combining South Luangwa National Park, Kasanka National Park and Bangweulu Swamps. With leading guide Keyala (Kiki) Phiri, well known for his outstanding knowledge and infectious laugh.
After a day at Nkwali in the South Luangwa the group flies to Bangweulu Swamps, one of Zambia's special gems - with superb birding from all the water birds to the endangered wattled crane elegantly strolling around the plains. Of course the star attraction remains the extraordinary shoebill.

The Emerald Season is so called due to the extraordinary colour of the bush once the rain starts to fall. This is without doubt a very special time to be on safari. Mamals and birds are abundant and it is the peak visiting time for migrant species and when many large mammals give birth. With fewer human visitors in the bush you also feel like you have the place to your self.
We have several great ideas for this time, combining some of Zambias best known lodges with thier remote bush camps. And it is even possible to extend your Green season safari to include the Lower Zambezi.
