3 nights Tafika , 4 nights Chikoko Walking Trails walking from camp to camp. (South Luangwa)
At Tafika enjoy day and night game drives, walks, cycling, visit the local village and take to the skies in a microlight. Then emerse yourself in the sights, scents and sounds of the bush on our walking trails staying at both Chikoko Tree Camp and Crocodile Tree Camp for 4 nights. Most itineraries include 2 nights in each of the walking camps but this might be adjusted depending on the game movements and the time of year.
Walking safaris are accompanied by a Remote Africa Safaris guide, a National Parks armed scout and the all important tea bearer! One begins to understand the smells, the tracks and the vegetation, often missed from a vehicle. In time the interested observer becomes just another mammal in the park!

A unique walking experience in The South Luangwa National Park the Chikoko Walking Trails, On arrival in Mfuwe (domestic flights are included) you will be met by your guide and driven to Tafika , oone of the luangwas best know safari camps owned and run by John & Carol Coppinger . You will be settled in to a lovely chalet  for the next few days  exploring the bush in a varity of ways, on game drives, on foot even from the air with John in his microlite. From Tafika the walking trail travels to: Chikoko Tree Camp and/or Crocodile River Camp. There are no roads or vehicles. Guests may walk from one camp to another, their luggage portaged on ahead, or remain at one camp if they choose. We recommend spending 2 days in each camp, hence a trail of 4 days duration. But this is flexible and the exact plan will be discussed with you at the time of booking.
