Kinondo Kwetu - Mombassa

- $415  pppn  Child rates & 7+ nights 20% discount

Situated on the south coast of Kenya, 1 ½ hours ride south from Mombasa, on the white sand beaches of the Indian Ocean. With room for no more than 38 guests, you will always find your own private spot at Kinondo Kwetu, which makes it a very special hideaway.

It is the perfect place to head to after a safari up country in Kenya and  we can easily build it in to a safari or arrange it as a family holiday get away destination with lots to do if you wish.
Kinondo Kwetu is a small, all-inclusive luxury resort owned and operated by a Swedish family. But beyond the lovely accommodation, great food, and amenities, it also offers peace and quiet. No pumping music at the pools. No noise from crowds at the bar. No jostling for space on the beach. No roaming trinket sellers. Kinondo Kwetu is a home, and we think you will love it.

ACCOMMODATION:
Every room and cottage has its own personalized character, as it is furnished and decorated with Swahili culture handicraft and antiquities. All double rooms are equipped with king size beds and all rooms with fans and mosquito nets.
There is plenty of quite, beautiful spots where you can retire to spend time with yourself or in company, in the library or in one of the living rooms. Or outside, in one of the water towers, where you can watch the sun set over the mountains, on a cliff by the sea.

DINING:
Kinondo Kwetu is renowned for its cuisine, which benefits from locally produced fruits and vegetables. Three-course lunches and dinners are served al fresco, with fresh fish and seafood being natural favourites.

Activities:
Although Kinondo Kwetu is the ideal place for simply doing nothing at all, it offers exciting possibilities for all adventurers big and small.

The vast East African reef is there for you to explore, be it scuba diving, snorkeling, or by boat. Try deep-sea fishing. Or learn kite boarding, an exhilarating and eco-friendly sport perfectly suited for the southern coast of Kenya. This property has it's own PADI center, so if you are thinking of getting a diving certificate, do it at Kinondo Kwetu.

Sailing enthusiast? small Kenyan outriggers will give you lots of fun. Or come along on a cruise on one of the traditional dhows. Or go horseback riding on one of the horses.
Staff will arrange excursions along the coast to nearby islands and up a river looking for crocodiles. And if you want to see wildlife, like elephants, giraffes, buffalos, antelopes, and other animals in the wild, Shimba Hills National Park is only a short drive away.
A visit to Kinondo village and a daytrip into Mombasa will give you the spectrum of life in Kenya. Kinondo will gladly drive you to both places.
Or maybe golf is your thing. No problem, there is an 18-hole course only 15 minutes away, where you can rent clubs. Kinondo Kwetu also has a tennis court.

WELLBEING:

Kinondo Kwetu offers various means of caring for your body and soul. Spa treatments that are offered are:Massage, Facial treatment, Manicure, Pedicure, Sauna, Yoga, Exercise. There is even a sauna.
You can enjoy a massage and body treatment to the soothing sound of the Indian Ocean. And there is even a “secret” serene spot on a cliff overlooking the sea where you can meditate and do your yoga.
Even the big pool is designed for tranquillity: not a hard rectangle but a giant three-leaf clover; swim the perimeter and you have covered a hundred metres.
