Busanga Safaris Ltd is a privately owned specialist safari company. We have been successfully arranging safaris for clients since 1999 and have enjoyed a steady growth in our safari activities and diversification of our destinations. We run things with care and attention to detail, fully insured and bonded for our guests safety and financial security.
Our main criterion when choosing a safari destination is the wildlife which we will encounter. The camps that we use were selected because they appealed to us when we stayed there as guests or friends and because they offer good guides with extensive local knowledge.
We really care that our guests have an outstanding safari that very often results in them returning for future expeditions. As testament to this we arrange around half of our safaris for repeat clients, or through personal recommendations, in addition
to new clients who come to us through our website or from advertising in publications such as BBC Wildlife magazine.

In addition to the various small group set date safari ideas that we offer we can also arrange safaris that are tailored to your requirements. Just let us know what you have in mind and your budget and we will come back to you with some suitable itineraries.

We have joined up with Doug to create some new safari ideas to visit Zimbabwe the sleeping giant of safari. We strongly feel that now is the time to begin to offer Zimbabwean safaris to support and promote the great wildlife that still very much exists in Zim. Doug has travelled and guided extensively in Zimbabwe and through many countries in Africa specialising in photographic and adventure safaris. Doug has a very easy going manner and finds great pleasure in passing on his knowledge and          understanding of his environment to his guests to make your safari as interesting and exciting as possible.

If you are interested in rare euopean mammals or birding safaris why not check the offerings on our website or send us a line and we will be happy to let you know what we have palnned or what we can plan just for you.

In early 2005 during a safari to India he was accompanied by the BBC and filmed for a documentary that was screened as part of the Inside Out Series on BBC One in September 2005. He now spends many months each year studying Tigers in India and runs a series of tours there to support both the wildlife and local communities. We are over the moon to be working with Pete who will be guiding on a selection of wildlife tours in India & Sri lanka in 2012.

grant.jpgGrant Atkinson - We first encountered Grant in Botswana where he was a senior and very highly regarded guide for Wilderness Safaris. Apart from being a thoroughly nice chap, he is an excellent professional guide with outstanding wildlife skill and knowledge and just to rub it in he is also one of the best wildlife photographers that we have come across. Apart from being able to use Grant's guiding skills as a private guide for our guests on some of our Botswana safaris and with plans for Grant to run a small number of photo safaris to Zambia in 2012.
Grant is developing his love of photography by offering his outstanding images for sale through his own portal.

linda2.jpgLinda Lee. Has been a regular visitor to East and South Africa, for many years, like so many off us, initially visiting the Masai Mara, where she was immediately bitten by the safari bug. Since then Linda has safaried in depth in Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Namibia, Botswana, Uganda, South Africa. In the last 5 years, Linda has been visiting to Zambia each season building on her experience, travelling to many parts of Kafue seldom visited as well as her favourite spots on the Busanga plains and also visiting North and South Luangwa, Kasanka and Bangweulu. Linda has worked as a conservation volunteer on a Leopard and general wildlife projects in South Africa and Zimbabwe.
As a wildlife/safari enthusiast and often a single traveller, Linda recognises the importance of a well organised trip and the value of good ground support, whether travelling as part of a small group, or individually. Linda re-joins our Busanga team to offer that support to our guests on our 2012 escorted tours in Zambia.
