Namibia is a vast, sparsely populated country with rewarding pockets of endemism in its enormous wilderness. This 6-night package starts at Kulala Desert Lodge.
Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy the majestic rusty dunes of Sossusvlei. At night you will be enchanted by the desert sky. You will then head up to Doro Nawas
where the vastness of the country will astound you. You will view desertadapted wildlife and also have the opportunity to visit the rock engravings
at Twyfelfontein, a World Heritage Site. From Doro Nawas you will head to Andersson’s Camp to explore the iconic Etosha National Park. The park is famed for its
large herds of game and great predator viewing to go with it. This package takes in three completely contrasting ecosystems within one spectacular country, staying in great camps with excellent guides and travelling between on light aircraft flights which give a wonderful perspective of the vastness of the country.

2 nights Kulala Desert Lodge
Kulala Desert Lodge is situated within the arid Namib Desert on the private Kulala Wilderness Reserve and provides convenient private access to the iconic red dunes of Sossusvlei.
The camp comprises thatched and canvas “kulalas” with en-suite bathrooms and verandas. Each room is built on a wooden platform to catch the cooling breezes and has a deck on the flat rooftop where bedrolls are placed for guests to sleep under the myriad stars of Namibia’s clear skies.
The main area, with décor inspired by northern Africa, has a lounge, pub, dining area, plunge pool, and wraparound deck overlooking the waterhole. A waterhole in front of camp attracts a variety of local wildlife and provides a perfect location to view and photograph the desert scenery. The thatch roofed main lodge is built entirely of clay bricks in an African desert style and veranda. A central swimming pool with shaded area and a Stargazing deck.
A waterhole in front of the main building gives the opportunity to see gemsbok (oryx), springbok, bat-eared fox, aardwolf, ostrich and jackals. Spotted hyaenas can be heard at night.
Early morning guided nature drives to the world-famous dunes of Sossusvlei are through an exclusive private gate. Nature drives and walks are also offered on the private reserve. Another option (extra cost) is early morning hot air ballooning offering the truly unique experience of soaring silently above the magnificent sand dunes and desert.

• The world’s highest sand dunes.

• Desert-adapted wildlife: springbok, oryx and brown hyaena.

• ‘Sky-beds’ for open air sleep-outs under a glittering sky.

• Game drives and cultural walks.

2 nights Doro Nawas Camp
Doro Nawas rests on a small hillock overlooking an ancient floodplain in the dry Aba-Huab River valley of the Doro !Nawas Conservancy in Damaraland. The starkly beautiful landscape is bordered by the Etendeka Mountains to the north and ochre-red Etjo sandstone formations in the south.
This is prime desert elephant country and clear nights offer ample opportunity for magnificent stargazing, while the ancient rock art of Twyfelfontein is a glimpse into a long-gone world. This combination of Africa’s past and present makes Doro Nawas Camp a fascinating visit.
Guests are housed in 16 natural walled units, the design and décor blending in with the surrounding scenery. The units are a clever mix of natural stone and canvas walls with wood and glass doors, shaded by a thatch roof. Each unit consists of a bedroom, en-suite bathroom with outdoor shower and a spacious veranda for stargazing or sleep-outs. The main building, with indoor and outdoor dining areas, pool and bar, is perched on the top of a small hill providing an unspoilt panoramic view of this unique landscape. Drives in open 4X4 vehicles mainly explore the river systems of the Huab and Aba Huab, where a few herds of the unique desert-adapted elephant are found. While this is not big game country gemsbok, springbok, meerkats and bat-eared foxes can be seen. One can also gain insight into the local way of life of the Damara pastoralists that still live here, while stops are also made for unique phenomena such as ‘fairy circles’.

• Desert-adapted wildlife: elephant, oryx, springbok, bat-eared fox and others.

• World Heritage Site at Twyfelfontein – over 2 000 rock engravings.

• Game and nature drives, rock art walks.

2 nights Andersson’s Camp

Situated in close proximity of Etosha National Park, the atmosphere of Andersson’s Camp makes for a comfortable modern-day base for exploring this world-class wildlife destination. The camp is an exciting example of sustainable construction and is named after a famed Swedish explorer, Charles Andersson, one of the first Europeans to describe Etosha. Canvas-style tents raised on wooden decks with double doors to allow for pleasant views of the bush with covered small veranda. Each tent has natural stone en-suite bathroom facilities, with a unique open-air private shower.
Andersson’s Camp is ideally situated for exploration of neighbouring Etosha, game drives taking in the plethora of game found here. This National Park is Namibias premier wildlife destination and, at almost the size of Switzerland, is certainly one of Africa’s largest game parks. Large herds of plains game concentrate around the waterholes in the dry season, whilst the summer months sporadic rainfall produces a profusion of new life on the plains – baby springbok and comical young wildebeest herald the onset of summer. In a good wet season, some pans are transformed into a pink sea of colour by visiting flamingos.
This eco-sensitive camp provides an authentic, safe and down-to-earth experience for small groups, families and independent travellers to the Etosha region and is easily accessible by either road or air to a nearby private airstrip.

 • Wildlife: white and black rhino, Hartmann’s mountain zebra, black-faced impala, oryx, and springbok.

• Predators include: lion and spotted hyaena, occasional cheetah.

• Game drives, walks and excursions to Etosha National Park.
